If you like a quick turning ski that makes riding powder easy and still rips all over the mountain, the Doughboys are for you.
Ride
The Doughboys are high performance freeride skis that excel in powder - their ample taper provides improved trim, float and maneuverability in powder conditions compared with standard freeride shapes. The result is an almost effortless surfy feeling to skiing …that's pure FUN!
Conditions
The Doughboys are designed to excel in the complete gamut of powder conditions yet still rail on groomers and rip up varied snowpack with ease.
Design
Shape: Relatively long, wide tip, for float in powder conditions that tapers to a narrower, rounded, slightly upturned tail. This revolutionary design allows skiers to keep their tips up in the soft pack without having to lean back.
Radius: Generous sidecut for easy, quick turning, and enhanced control.
Flex: Moderately stiff under foot the ski gradually becomes more flexible towards its wider tip to allow float in the powder without sacrificing edge hold. Behind the foot the flex is less gradual creating a slightly stiffer tail - an important feature for control and stability.
Strength: Built to last. For winter 2008 we are using a new full maple wood core combined with a new triax/carbon glass and urethane tip/tail dampeners for our strongest and longest lasting skis ever.
