Ride
The Original is smooth and stable. Floaty in powder, holds an edge on hardpack, with just the right combination of flex, for pop, and dampening for a chatter free ride.
Conditions
Big mountain conditions: steeps, big air, powder, groomers, park & pipe, hardpack, chop, moguls and everything else the mountain has to throw at you.
Design
Shape: Mid-fat, directional shape. Rounded tip with moderate taper to a slightly upturned rounded tail.
Radius: Modest sidecut for easy turning, cruising carvability and edge-to-edge control without compromising straight line speed. (see specs for more info).
Flex: Rigidity under the rider's feet provides power, edge hold and drive. From the boot toe to the tip the flex gradually softens to provide float in the deepest powder. From behind the foot the taper is less gradual creating a slightly stiffer tail that is important for added control and pop.
Strength: Bombproof. For winter 2008 we are using a new full maple wood core combined with a new triax/carbon glass and urethane tip/tail dampeners for our strongest and longest lasting skis ever.
