Overlord Redesigned!
The Ski Industry has taken notice of the 2010 Overlord’s unbelievable ride. Backcountry and Powder Magazine have given the new Overlord, “Editor’s Choice” and “Skier’s Choice” Awards respectively for its incredible Freeride ripability.
The Overlord’s tip and tail shape have been modified along with an enhanced rocker profile to provide better powder trim and edge-to-edge transition. A squared off tail makes it easier to attach skins for the backcountry and provides purchase ascending steep chutes on foot. We continue to offer a 2-4mm camber in the waist for power, drive and edge hold in harder snowpack conditions.
Fat, strong, and firm, the Overlord offers incredible stability at speed while providing amazing nimbleness through trees and powder. We’ve also added two new smaller sizes (169 and 175cm) so more skiers can now enjoy the Overlord’s domain.
The Overlord is named after the impressive Overlord glacier which sits at the head end of Fitzsimmons valley separating Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains.
Ride
Fast and aggressive with a long sidecut this ski is stable and powerful through all snow conditions and with its unique tip profile, still turns with ease. At 110+ mm underfoot it has the most floatation of any ski in the Prior lineup.
Conditions
Big mountain: powder, extreme steeps, chutes, big airs, trees and pillows. Big GS carves on the groomers at mach speed are part of the fun too.
