The new 2008 Sister is built for female skiers who want a do-it-all, high performance handcrafted freeride ski that will bring their skiing and the fun factor to new levels.
Ride
The Sister provides a smooth stable ride with quick edge to edge maneuverability. The strong yet playful and forgiving ride of this ski provides the ideal combination of great edge hold on hardpack and floatation in the pow.
Conditions
All mountain performance: powder, steeps, groomers, hardpack, crud, moguls, varied snowpack and terrain.
Design
Shape: The Sister is a mid-fat directional shape with a rounded tip and ovalled, slightly upturned tail.
Radius: The Sister has a moderate sidecut for easy turning and edge-to-edge control. You can still open it up and let'er rip if you want to.
Flex: The flex in the tips has been designed to float the skier in powder while still being stiff enough so the ski is stable and predictable in varied snow conditions. Rigidity under skier's feet provides power, edge hold and drive. From behind the foot the taper is less gradual creating a slightly stiffer tail that is important for control and performance.
Strength: Bombproof. For winter 2008 we are using a new full maple wood core combined with a new triax/carbon glass and urethane tip/tail dampeners for our strongest and longest lasting skis ever.
